jbrds has redesigned the kid’s shoe with kids in mind in order to create anatomically designed footwear for children. Our sock-like upper and injection-molded support cage are designed to promote the healthy development of feet and the lower extremities by supporting the weight bearing structure of their developing foot while uniquely stabilizing their still forming heel. Our bottom-up approach to footwear design are starting children off on the right foot for a lifetime of physical activity.

  • Sizing for ages 6-18 months
  • Makes it easier to stand, balance, and walk
  • Just enough grip so baby won't trip
The sock and shoe in one construction make it easy to get on the baby’s foot (socks optional!) and just as easy to keep clean. Spot clean with a baby wipe. Occasionally cold wash in washer and air dry.

Sizing for ages 6-18 months can be a challenge. Download our custom size chart to ensure the right fit for your little one!

Print the chart off on standard 8.5" x 11" printer paper and line up your little one's foot to pick perfect size.

Sizing for ages 6–18 months made easy. Download our custom size chart to ensure the right fit for your little one! Print the chart off on standard 8.5" x 11" printer paper, measure both feet and choose the size that fits your child's largest foot.

We don't recommend upsizing for your little one to grow into, as this will cause a loose fit and can negate the proper developmental support benefits of jbrds.

    Best shoes for my toddler

Love these shoes! It’s so hard to find shoes that provide stability for my daughter. She hasn’t fallen down with these shoes or even tumbled. She loves them. She wants to wear them all the time even in the house! I love the color; it’s so beautiful. And I can always throw them in the washing machine when they get dirty and they come out as new.

I would highly recommend them. It’s worth the price because they last a long time. You only need one pair of shoes to get through the summer because they last a long time and they are good for different types of weather. They seem warm enough but cool enough as well.

    So close to perfect

I am a huge fan of ensuring kiddos have the right materials to develop as naturally as possible. When it comes to footwear, I've learned a surprising amount about how important it is that children have a softer sole and a toe box that allows their toes to splay out naturally versus the narrow toe box and hard sole we see in most children's shoes these days. When the Stellar Product Testing Panel sent me the JBrds Stand2Walk Shoes, I was ecstatic to see that they really focused on helping to aid, and not infringe upon, that natural development. When I first opened the box, I wasn't terribly thrilled with the appearance of the shoe, but I must say they look substantially cuter on than they did in the box. I was skeptical, but thoroughly surprised and pleased with the results. The cream color allowed these shoes to match with every outfit, which made getting ready easier. The first time I put these on my toddler, it was an intense struggle. I had my son sitting on the couch in front of me and was kneeling down, trying to push the shoes onto his feet. It was nearly impossible, I strongly considered never trying them again. I am thrilled to say that the next time I tried to put them on, I had my son sitting on my lap and discovered that they slide right on when you try to pull them on, versus push them onto the feet. It turned from being the hardest shoe I've ever put on a child (and I have 6!) to the easiest shoe I've ever put on. I definitely think the brand should have an…

Great first walker, a bit difficult to get on wiggly toddlers!

As par of Stellar Product Testing Panel, I received these Jbrd Stand2Walk shoes to try with son who is 19mo old.

Features we loved: They have a flexible yet protective sole and bumper toes which is great for those learning to walk and for proper foot muscle development. Comfortable for my son- he had no issues walking right away in these.

Cons: I found them quite difficult to get on. However, once on he had no problems walking around in them. The sock style and the suede like bottom on the shoe will probably not be great during the wetter parts of the year.

Overall Impression: I envision these would be great during that crawl->cruising->walking timeline. I feel if the design was tweaked to make them easier to put on they would a really great first walker shoe.

    Jbrds stand2walk shoes

I received these shoes as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My little one is 15 months and I wanted to try shoes for her that included socks and weren't as clunky as many hard sole shoes are. I like the lightness of these shoes and the fact that they can't be taken off by my toddler. These shoes are also surprisingly warm! We tried them on a cold day outside and when I took her shoes off her feet were warm!

I did struggle to put them on her feet. It was an easier process when I held her instead of sitting in front of her to put then on. The more she wore them, the easier it was to slip them over her heels. I'm not a fan of the color of the shoes, they immediately got dirty, I would pick any other color than white next time.

Overall, a solid shoe and I would recommend them as an easy alternative to traditional shoes.

    Impressive/ Supportive

I had the pleasure of testing the JBrds Stand2Walk toddler shoes, courtesy of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. As a parent to a 20-month-old toddler, finding the right footwear is crucial for both comfort and proper foot development. The Stand2Walk shoes proved to be a functional and supportive choice.

One of the standout features of the JBrds Stand2Walk shoes is their commitment to supporting natural foot development. The shoes are designed with a keen understanding of a toddler's growing feet, ensuring that they have the right amount of support while allowing them to develop naturally. As a parent, this is a huge relief, knowing that my child's feet are in good hands (or shoes).

The sleek design of these shoes is also worth mentioning. They look great on my little one's feet and are versatile enough to be worn with a variety of outfits. The style factor is definitely a plus, making these shoes not only functional but also fashionable.

However, there is one minor drawback that I noticed during the testing period – these shoes are a bit harder to get on compared to some of my toddler's other footwear. The snug fit, while supportive, can make the process of putting them on a little more time-consuming. Nonetheless, this is a minor inconvenience in light of the benefits they offer.
